If you have missed a class in the past two weeks, then there is a good chance that you need to make up an essay or two… Check your SchoolMax. You will have a zero for a grade until you make it up.
You have until Jan. 20 to make up the following missing essays. Since they are timed you will have to do them in the classroom in my presence so plan accordingly.

I have six copies of the book — 4 copies include both A Doll’s House and Hedda Gabler –those four will go to the first four students who email me with the correct answer. The last two students will receive the single play copies.

Last week you received your Wuthering Heights Prose essay back in class. You also spent some time providing feedback for another student’s essay.
Now you are going to take your original essay and the feedback you received and revise your essay for a final score. Remember, I am looking for major revisions, not just word changes.
For this assignment you will use the Table_Revision Practice and the Revision Instruction Sheet documents to revise and present your essay.
This revision will be due in hard copy format on Jan. 20(A) / Jan. 21 (B). When you turn it in everything should be stapled together in this order: Original Essay and Prompt Paper (bottom), Peer Edit Paper, Revised Essay in Table Format (On Top).

The last day that you can make up a warm-up essay is Wednesday, Jan. 20. You must make arrangements with me prior to making up the essay. It must be done in my presence in the classroom. Students who try to randomly drop by or show up to make up a warmup are at risk for disappointment.
As a reminder, Essay Warm-ups can be made up for excused absences. It is your responsibility to know which warm-up you need to make up as I will not be looking that information up for you.

You are responsible for reading the first act and completing 5 dialectical journal entries for each play that is presented during our January Book Seminar Blitz. Your journals will be due the day of the book seminar. We will continue with a regular reading schedule after the blitz, but be aware that we will be reading all of the plays in their entirety.
Several of the plays are available for free online and two are available in your Bedford textbook.

For those students who did not follow directions and post their annotations in the private group, you now have the opportunity to submit screenshots of your annotations to the Google Classroom assignment. You have until Friday to submit your screenshots to the assignment. Failure to do so will result in a permanent grade of a zero. The assignment has been posted since Monday, so this is just a courtesy reminder.
