Scholarship Opportunity!

The Maryland School Counselor Association is pleased to announce a scholarship for high school seniors!
This $200 scholarship will be awarded to one Maryland High School senior who writes, in 300-500 words, the most compelling account of the impact a school counselor has had on his or her life.
There are three points that I must make clear:
  1. The school counselor identified in the essay can be from the student’s elementary, middle, or high school experience.
  2. While we require a high school transcript, this is just for verification of enrollment. This is not an academic scholarship; it is an essay scholarship.
  3. While it is not required that the identified school counselor be an MSCA member (considering attrition over a 12-year period), the membership status of an current professional school counselor will be taken into consideration.

The link to be shared on your scholarship lists is http://www.mscaonline.org/?page_id=2731 and the deadline is November 30.
